Begonia grandis ‘Sapporo’ x 6 Bulbils
Price is for six small bulbils. A hardy variety introduced from Sapporo, Japan by the late, great, Micheal Wickenden. Rich-coloured, tropical leaves, dark green and red underneath with deep pink flowers. The plants stems are attractive having red nodes that produce bulbils in the autumn. Comes into growth quite late in the season. Height 60 cm. Full to part shade in a sheltered position in moist, humus rich, well draining soil with a winter mulch.
Bulbils are sown as you would do with seeds and these will freely germinate in late spring after a cold period.
