Begonia grandis 'Sapporo' x 4 Bulbils
Price is for 4 small bulbils of varying sizes.
A hardy variety introduced from Sapporo, Japan by the late, great Micheal Wickenden. Rich-coloured, tropical leaves, dark green and red underneath with deep pink flowers. The plants stems are attractive having red nodes that produce bulbils in the autumn. Comes into growth quite late in the season. Height 60 cm. Full to part shade in a sheltered position in moist, humus rich, well-drained soil with a winter mulch.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Sow upon receipt at twice the bulbil’s depth. Keep the pot in cool but frost free conditions over winter. Bulbils come into growth easily from spring onwards.
