Native to China, Japan, Taiwan and eastern Himalaya. Beautiful, dainty, blue-green, ferny foliage (which turns an attractive bronze in colour) with racemes of tubular, ivory flowers tipped with red to purple. Height 23 cm. Light shade in moist, well-drained soil.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Sow immediately upon receipt no matter the time of the year. Cover seed thinly, press in gently and keep top of compost from drying out. Keep pot outdoors or in cold frame. Seeds germinate in spring.
Carefully prick out seedlings when they have developed true leaves and are large enough to transplant to individual pots for growing on.
