A very attractive, semi-evergreen species native to central China that is suitable for a woodland garden. Produces bronzy, finely dissected, fern-like foliage and tubular, yellow flowers from late spring into early summer. Although the plant is a short-lived perennial it will self seed. Height 20 cm. Moist, well-drained soil in part sun to part shade.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Sow immediately upon receipt no matter the time of the year. Cover seed thinly, press in gently and keep top of compost from drying out. Keep pot outdoors or in cold frame. Seeds germinate in spring.
Carefully prick out seedlings when they have developed true leaves and are large enough to transplant to individual pots for growing on.
