A rare, evergreen, clump-forming species in the Saxifrage family collected by Bleddyn and Sue Wynn-Jones on the Island of Honshu Japan. Attractive, hairy, green leaves with sliver patterning and spikes of intricate, miniature, red flowers. Height 45 cm. Flowering April to May. Moist, well-drained soil in part to full shade. Small seeds - do not cover with any soil.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Sow from March to June. Surface sow small seeds thinly, press in gently and keep top of pot moist. Keep pot warm at 15 to 20°C until germination, then move to somewhere cooler.
Carefully prick out seedlings when they have developed true leaves and are large enough to transplant to individual pots to grow on.
