Scrophularia lateriflora PAB 3921
30 seeds per packet.
A Paul Barney collection from Georgia. This species grows naturally in rock crevices but is rare in cultivation and has striking purple foliage that emerges in spring and turns green as the season progresses. Produces long, pendulous stems with lanceolate leaves and small, white flowers in summer which dangle as if held on fine threads. Height 50 cm. Sun to dappled shade in moisture retentive but well-drained soil.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Sow from March to June. Surface sow small seeds thinly, press in gently and keep top of pot moist. Keep pot warm at 15 to 20°C until germination, then move to somewhere cooler.
Carefully prick out seedlings when they have developed true leaves and are large enough to transplant to individual pots to grow on.
