Fagopyrum dibotrys ‘Cally Form’ Perennial Buckwheat
6 large seeds per packet.
A non-invasive member of the buckwheat family collected from India by the late, great Michael Wickenden and one of our favourite perennial plants. Attractive, heart-shaped leaves on branched, towering stems and sprays of small, white flowers from early summer into late autumn. Height 1.8 metres. Sun to part shade in well-drained, moisture retentive soil.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Can be sown from autumn to June. Cover seed thinly, press in gently and keep top of compost from drying out. Keep pot cool over winter. Keep warm at 15 to 20°C in spring until germination, then move to somewhere cooler.
Carefully prick out seedlings when they have developed true leaves and are large enough to transplant to individual pots to grow on.
