A hardy, tuberous, robust form of the species collected by Daniel Hinkley in Japan, which produces large flower clusters of pendulous, pink flowers. The plant’s stems produce bulbils in the autumn, these fall to the ground to produce new plants. Comes into growth quite late in the season. Flowering July into autumn. Height 50 cm. Full to part shade in a sheltered position in moist, humus rich, well-drained soil with a winter mulch.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Sow upon receipt at twice the bulbil’s depth. Keep the pot in cool but frost free conditions over winter. Bulbils come into growth easily from spring onwards.
