Cirsium botryodes W/O-9092
15 seeds per packet. The seeds we offer have been harvested from plants grown by us from seed collected by August Wu and Bjørnar Olsen in Yunnan, China. A robust, perennial species, unknown in cultivation and native to the mountain valleys of China. It produces extremely large, dissected, spikey leaves with distinctive white veining, cotton haired stems with spikey, cobwebby, brown-red, stately flower heads with white pollen that bees adore. Flowering July to September. Height 1 metre. Sun in moisture retentive soil. Warm germinator.
We previously sold plants that had not flowered as Cirsium aff. botryodes / eriophoroides W/O-9092 before we could identify it correctly.
