The seeds we offer have been harvested from plants grown by us from seed collected in China. Starry, white flowers on erect stems are produced from spring until June. The plant’s small white roots are used in Chinese medicine and herbalism to tonify the qi and generate yin fluids, and is known as the "ginseng of the lungs”. Height 20 cm. Part shade in moisture retentive, humus rich, well-drained soil.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Can be sown from autumn to June. Cover seed thinly, press in gently and keep top of compost from drying out. Keep pot cool over winter. Keep warm at 15 to 20°C in spring until germination, then move to somewhere cooler.
Carefully prick out seedlings when they have developed true leaves and are large enough to transplant to individual pots to grow on.
