Cryptotaenia canadensis Honewort
A member of the carrot family that is widespread throughout eastern North America where it can be found in dense woodland and thickets. Double toothed leaflets become smaller towards the top of the stem. Young leaves and stems are edible and resemble the flavour of parsley. Dainty, white, stalked flowers in irregular, flat clusters appear from June to September. Height 1 metre. Humus rich, well-drained, moisture retentive soil in part shade.
