A Hollyhock species that is rare in cultivation and native to the sunny slopes of NW Xinjiang in China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. A tall species with large, elegant, white flowers with yellow centres. Height 1.5 m. Flowering July to August. Moisture retentive, well-drained soil in sun.
