50 seeds per packet. A clump forming perennial that is rare in cultivation and native to the scree and rocky slopes of the Himalayas. Seed has been harvested from plants grown by us from seed collected on the last expedition by Chris Chadwell. Produces rounded, very hairy foliage with toothed margins and racemes of hairy, blue-violet flowers with deep black centres and short spurs. Flowering late July to September. Height 40 cm. Sun to part shade in well-draining, moisture retentive soil. Cold germinator.
