Saussurea sp. BO-15-192
An unknown, high alpine, perennial, Saussurea species in the Asteraceae family that produces fleshy, serrated leaves, attractive purple stems, bracts and thistle-like flowers. The plants we offer have been grown by us from seed collected by Bjørnar Olsen in Sichuan, China at 4480 metres. Sun to part shade in moisture retentive but well-draining soil. Please note Saussurea can be difficult plants to cultivate and we do not recommended them for beginners.
