Dipsacus japonicus Xu Duan SOLD OUT
A rare species in cultivation and a short-lived perennial in the Dipsacaceae (Teasel family) that is native to Japan and China. Produces attractive rosettes of lobed, hairy foliage and strong, erect, slightly prickly stems carrying pale pink and white flower heads with purple anthers. The roots of the plant have many medicinal uses. Although it is a short lived plant it produces plenty of seeds to keep it going in the garden. Flowering August into early October. Height 1.5 metres. Sun to part shade in a moist soil.
