Rhinanthus minor Yellow Rattle
12 seeds per packet. Fresh wild seed collected from the farm's grasslands. A UK native, semi-parasitic annual producing attractive and unusual bright yellow, hooded flowers from May to September. A very useful plant for a wildflower meadow as it draws out the nutrients from dominant grass species and weakens them, maintaining a healthy environment where other wildflowers can grow. Sow seeds direct where they are to grow in autumn (seeds need a long cold period in order to germinate in spring).
