Lychnis sieboldii Orange & White SOLD OUT
6 seeds per packet. (syn: Lychnis coronata var. sieboldii). A rare Japanese endemic, producing clumps of hairy, lance-shaped leaves and large, deeply cut, toothed petals from summer into autumn. Seed offered here has been collected from a very unusual plant of pale orange with white markings on the edge of the petals as seen in the photographs (we cannot guarantee all of the seeds will come true). Our plants, which we collect seed from, have been grown from Japanese wild seed that have proven to be highly variable in flower colour, ranging from red, orange-red, orange and pale orange with white markings. Height 30 cm. Part sun to part shade in a moist, humus rich, well-drained soil. Cold germinator.
