Pilea scripta PB 02-520
A lovely, rare, foliage plant that is native to the moist, broad-leaved forests of India and some parts of China. This collection was made by Patrick Blanc from west Bengal, India. Produces vigorous clumps of erect, elongated, long, pointed, veined leaves and white panicles of tiny, white flowers in the leaf axils in autumn. A member of the Urticaceae family that does not sting. Height up to 100 cm. Moist, humus rich soil in part to full shade. Hardy to -12 C.
