Impatiens species 2 PB (fl roses) SOLD OUT
An unidentified, hardy, perennial species introduced by Patrick Blanc from a nursery in Kyoto, Japan (probably collected from China). Although it has not yet flowered here yet, we think the flowers bear similarities to I. oxyanthera. Produces deep green, thick, glossy, serrated leaves and large, pale pink, orchid-like flowers with curling spurs in autumn. Height 20 to 40 cm. Moist, humus rich, well-drained soil in part to full shade in a cool position. Hardy to -10 C (possibly more) in the ground with a winter mulch but if pot grown it requires full protection from frosts.
