Hemiboea strigosa PB (x 2 Rhizomes) SOLD OUT
A very rare, hardy, herbaceous member of the Gesneriaceae family. This collection of Patrick Blanc comes from China where it grows in valley forests. Produces light green, glossy foliage, stems mottled in purple and tubular pink flowers with reddish-purple spotting inside. Spreads to form good sized clumps via rhizomes buried just under the soil surface. Flowering September to October. Height 20 to 40 cm. Part to full shade in a sheltered position in humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil. Hardy to -10 to -12 C.
