Clematis stans SOLD OUT
A beautifully fragrant species that is native to the mountains of Japan. It is a sub-shrub species that neither clings nor climbs and produces toothed leaves and tubular, hyacinth-like flowers on erect stems from late summer to mid autumn. Height 90 cm. Sun to part shade in any well-drained garden soil that is kept moist in summer. Please note that the flowers of this species are highly variable in shape and colour. We offer two forms which we sell as mixed, one with shorter, pale blue flowers and another with longer, narrower, pale pink-purple flowers as seen in the photographs. Whichever one you receive, both are lovely!
