Aspidistra sichuanensis 'China Sun' SOLD OUT
A Jim Waddick collection from the Qing Cheng Sam mountains in Sichuan, China. Produces clumps of short, lanceolate foliage via creeping rhizomes and alien-like, purple flowers at the base of the leaves. The leaves are evergreen and spotted in yellow. Aspidistra look stunning planted out in the garden in a dark spot, as a potted specimen or grown as a houseplant. Height 55 cm. Part shade to full shade in a sheltered position in humus rich, well-drained soil. Hardy to -10 C. Protect the plant’s leaves from frost. Please note: the foliage takes a little while to develop the spotting and will appear pure green as they emerge.
