Angelica gigas Korean Angelica
A stunning species that is native to Japan, China and Korea where it grows in forests, grasslands and banks of streams. Produces dome-shaped flower heads of dark purple-red that insects (especially bees) adore, on dark architectural stems to a height of 1.3 m. The plant will die after flowering but plenty of seeds are produced that germinate easily. Flowering June to August. Sun to light shade in moist soil.
