Begonia species 71 SOLD OUT
1 packet of approximately 100+, naturally small, hand pollinated, fresh seeds. A lovely, unknown, tuberous species with small, pretty, white flowers with a slight hint of pink. Originally collected from seed from China. Produces large, lime green leaves and, from the structure of its inflorescence and leaves, has a strong affinity to B. josephii. Height 30 cm. Full to part shade in a cool, sheltered position in moist, humus rich, well-drained soil. Not fully hardy with us though could be hardy to -5 C, so we would suggest growing it as a potted specimen in the garden and bringing it in before the first frosts. Before purchasing, please do an internet search for instructions on how to grow Begonias from seed as, due to their size, they may be difficult to grow for inexperienced gardeners (and instructions will not be sent). As far as we are aware we are the only source for these seeds anywhere.
