Panax japonicus Japanese Ginseng SOLD OUT
A rare species in cultivation that is native to the mountain forests of Japan. From late spring it produces a rising stalk with a whorl of attractive, palmate leaves. At the top of the stalk it forms white flowers followed by berries that turn from green to red to black in colour. Height 80 cm. Light to full shade in moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil.
