Thalictrum nepalense W/O-0107
Sorry Sold Out for 2024
15 seeds per packet.
The seeds we offer have been harvested from plants grown by us from seed of an unknown Thalictrum collected by August Wu and Bjørnar Olsen in Xiling Xueshan, Chengdu, Sichuan, China. We have recently identified this Thalictrum species as Thalictrum nepalense, a newly discovered species found in Nepal and parts of China. It has delicate, fern-like foliage (chocolate coloured when young) and white, starry flowers. Flowering May to July. Height 60 cm. Moist, humus rich, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade.
We previously sold this species as Thalictrum aff. (with an affinity to) javanicum W/O-0107 as plants are very similar in appearance to Thalictrum javanicum but didn't quite match that species particularly in its seed shape.
Very limited seed packets this year.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Can be sown from autumn to June. Cover seed thinly, press in gently and keep top of compost from drying out. Keep pot cool over winter. Keep warm at 15 to 20°C in spring until germination, then move to somewhere cooler.
Carefully prick out seedlings when they have developed true leaves and are large enough to transplant to individual pots to grow on.
