Ajuga ovalifolia W/O-9044
8 seeds per packet. A very special alpine species and extremely rare in cultivation that we are finally being able to offer for the first time. The seeds we offer have been harvested from plants grown by us from seed collected by August Wu and Bjørnar Olsen in Mugecuo Lake, Kangding, Sichuan, China at 3900 metres. An attractive, low growing species forming rosettes of deep green, elliptical to oval foliage with red veining and whorls of densely clustered, vivid dark blue flowers. Flowering June to September. Height 10 to 20 cm. Moisture retentive but well-drained soil in sun to part shade. Warm germinator.
