Selinum aff. filicifolium Back in stock 2023
A beautiful, perennial Umbellifer originally collected as Selinum wallichianum with a question mark by Chris Chadwell in the Himalayas. It is similar to Selinum wallichianum but has much less feathery foliage, flowers considerably earlier, is much shorter in height and the flower heads curl tightly inwards when going to seed (whilst S. wallichianum stay open). We need to do a little more research but it fits extremely well with descriptions of Selinum filicifolium, especially with its distinctive, white and green, marginal, papery bracts. Those currently offered in cultivation under that name lack the white and green bracts and are not this species. Flowering June to July. Height 40 cm. Well-drained soil in sun to part shade.
