A dwarf, ground cover species collected in Honshu, Japan by Cedric Basset. Produces long, slender, gently creeping stems, which root at the nodes, and rounded, dark green leaves. White flowers appear in May to June, followed by edible red fruits in July. Height 10 cm. Moisture retentive, humus-rich, well-drained soil in part to full shade.
