A Bleddyn and Sue Wynn-Jones collection from the mountain forests of central Honshu, Japan. A perennial species with arrow-shaped leaves and, in the autumn, spikes of large, hooded, mauve and purple flowers with white anthers in the throat. Height 30 cm. Part sun to part shade in moisture retentive, well-drained soil.
