The plants we offer have been grown by us from seed collected by August Wu and Bjørnar Olsen in Xiling Xueshan, Chengdu, Sichuan, China. An ornamental, deciduous shrub that is native to western China. Produces attractive, large, round lobed leaves (which have lovely autumn colours) at alternating angles on very long, completely thornless, cane-like stems. Pink-purple flowers are followed by edible, black berries. Height 3 metres. Well-drained, moisture retentive soil in sun to part shade in a sheltered position.
