Impatiens oxyanthera 'Milo'
A hardy, clump-forming, tuberous, perennial species introduced from China by Bjørnar Olsen and which is still rare in cultivation. Magnificent, white and shell pink, orchid-like flowers with orange throats, spotted in dark purple are produced from summer into autumn. Height 40 cm. Moist, humus rich, well-drained soil in part to full shade in a cool position. Can be pot grown or planted in the garden. Hardy to -15 C (possibly more) in the ground with a winter mulch. If pot grown, it requires full protection from frosts.
