The plants we offer have been grown by us from seed collected by August Wu and Bjørnar Olsen in China. A tall and graceful species that produces delicate, fern-like, blue-green foliage and clusters of pendulous, lilac flowers with yellow stamens, held on erect, purple stems (the plant does not require staking) followed by attractive, purple seed-heads. Flowering July to September. Height 1.2 metres. Moist, humus rich, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade.
