Strobilanthes rankanensis 'Marbled form' CMBTW1484
This is the true and rarely offered Strobilanthes rankanensis, a low, creeping plant with small, dense leaves and not a tall, bushy plant with arching stems, as is so often wrongly sold in horticulture! This form of the species has pale purple-blue, spotted, trumpet flowers and was collected in the high mountains of Taiwan by Cedric Basset and Marion Lennoz. Forms good ground cover. Flowering late summer into autumn. Hardy to -12C. Part shade in humus rich, well-drained soil.
