A woodland perennial in the Asteraceae family that is native to eastern and central North America. Produces tall, erect clumps of foliage adorned on top with clusters of fluffy, white flowers, followed by attractive, fluffy seed-heads in late autumn. Flowering September to October. Height 1.5 metres. Moist, humus rich, well-drained soil in part shade.
