Begonia labordei W/O-9079
These plants are limited to 1 plant per customer!
The plants we offer have been grown by us from seed collected by August Wu and Bjørnar Olsen in China. A slender, deciduous, tuberous species, which grows in forest margins on shaded, moist, rocky slopes, and produces inflorescences of small, pretty, pale pink or white flowers in late summer to autumn, with heart-shaped, green leaves and stems that have distinctive red banding. Height 30 cm. Full to part shade in a cool, sheltered position in moist, humus rich, well-drained soil. Not tested for hardiness with us yet (though it could potentially be hardy to -5C with a deep mulch), so we would suggest growing it as a potted specimen in the garden and bringing it in before the first frosts.
