Begonia baviensis BWJ15651 Back in stock 2023
A collection by Bleddyn Wynn-Jones from the Sapa area of northern Vietnam. A clump-forming, rhizomatous species that produces large, white flowers and the most amazing erect stems covered in bristly, red hairs, which really stand out against the green, lobed foliage. Height 50 cm. Full to part shade in a cool, sheltered position in moist, humus rich, well-drained soil. Not tested for hardiness (though it could potentially take a light frost with a mulch), so we would suggest growing it as a potted specimen in the garden and bringing it in before the first frosts.
