A spectacular perennial from the Apiaceae family that produces amazing umbels from the second week of June until the end of August. On opening, these are an acid green colour tinged with bronze, which gradually turn to the most vivid, acid yellow. Listed in the flora of China as native to the open forests, forest margins, mountain slopes and river banks of China, Mongolia and Russia at a height of 1300–1900 metres, and reported to be hardy to -40 C! Height 120 cm. Sun to part shade in moist, well-drained soil.
