A tall, striking foliage plant collected by Cedric Basset and Marion Lennoz on the island of Shikoku in Japan. Produces leaves with toothed edges and narrow, white, pipe cleaner-like flowers that hang from the stems in autumn. A member of the Urticaceae family that neither stings nor spreads. Height 2 to 3 metres. Moist but well-drained, humus rich soil in sun to part shade.
