A recently described, rhizomatous species, discovered by plant explorer Mary Sizemore, which was found growing on a single mountain in North Vietnam. Produces oval shaped, two-tone, dark and lighter green leaves, which are covered in extraordinary, long, soft, white hairs, with maroon undersides, and pink flowers. Height 30 cm. Moderate sun to part shade in humus rich, well-drained soil. Allow the plant to get slightly dry between waterings. This plant is a tender perennial and we recommend keeping your plant in a humid greenhouse or as a houseplant. Although tolerant of some cold it can, however, be grown as a potted specimen in a sheltered part of the garden during summer months.
