- Begonia taliensis W/O-8043
Begonia taliensis W/O-8043
1 packet of approximately 50, naturally small, hand pollinated, fresh seeds. The seeds we offer have been harvested from plants grown by us from seed collected by August Wu and Bjørnar Olsen in Heqing, Longkaikou, Yunnan at 2280 metres. A spectacular, tuberous species with black, green and silver patterned, palmate foliage and pink flowers. Flowering September to November. Height up to 35cm. The plant emerges late from June. Requires a sheltered, woodland-type situation in well-drained, moisture retentive soil (keep drier in winter). This species has proven fully hardy in the south of England but we would recommend it is protected from frost in other areas.
Before purchasing, please do an internet search for instructions on how to grow Begonias from seed as, due to their size, they may be difficult to grow for inexperienced gardeners (and instructions will not be sent).
