Podophyllum hexandrum Himalayan Mayapple
A native of the edges of woodlands in the Himalayas and western China. The form offered has pink flowers that face upwards in May to June and has deeply divided, marbled, brown and green, umbrella-shaped leaves. The plant produces large, attractive, red fruits towards August (these should not be eaten as they are toxic). Height to 40 cm. Cool, leafy soil in part shade.
