A very rare species in cultivation that originally came to us under the name Pilea species Nepal. An unusual species from Nepal that roots along the ground as it creeps. Produces toothed foliage and tiny, white and pink flowers in the autumn on a fleshy, saucer-like receptacle from 12 to 25 mm across. A member of the Urticaceae family that does not sting. Height 20 cm. Moist, humus rich soil in part to full shade. Hardy to -12 C to -15 C.
