Hylomecon japonicum Available May/June
A clump-forming, perennial, poppy relative that is native to the mountains of Japan, Korea and north-eastern China. Produces masses of colour in spring with large, golden, poppy-like flowers that sit atop light green, attractive, pinnate foliage. Flowering April to May. Height 30 cm. Moist, humus rich, well-drained soil in part shade.
