Equisetum variegatum Variegated Horsetail
A dwarf, clumping, evergreen species that is native to Europe, Asia and North America. Produces slender, dark blue-green, black barred stems (similar to E. scirpoides). Height 20 cm. Far less vigorously growing than E. hyemale, nonetheless it is best planted in a container if you don’t want it to spread too far.
