A rarely offered plant that is native to forests of Japan, China, Korea and Russia. Produces dramatic reddish-brown stems which hold at the top four glossy serrated leaves and unusual, white, bottlebrush-like, fragrant flowers in April to May. Height 30 to 60 cm. Moist, well-drained soil in semi-shade.
