The plants we offer have been grown by us from seed collected by August Wu and Bjørnar Olsen in Liaoning, northeast China. A deciduous, woody, climbing shrub in the Asclepiadaceae family that is rare in cultivation and a native of the forests of China and Taiwan. Produces long, dark green, glossy leaves and unusual, small, hairy, purple-brown flowers with reflexed tepals. Flowering May to June. Height up to 4 metres. Sun to part shade in moisture retentive, well-drained soil.
