Papaver triniifolium Armenian Poppy
A monocarpic species and a native of the Pontus Mountains in eastern Turkey that is worth growing for its foliage alone. Produces very attractive rosettes of ferny, finely-divided, silvery blue-green, prickly leaves and pale orange, papery flowers on pyramid-like flower stems. Flowering June to July. Height 40 cm. Sun in well-draining soil. Ideal for a rock garden.
