Mandragora caulescens W/O-9159
WE RECOMMEND THESE PLANTS ARE ONLY PURCHASED BY EXPERIENCED GROWERS. THEY ARE YOUNG PLANTS AND CERTAINLY NOT BEGINNER'S PLANTS AND REQUIRE EXACTING CONDITIONS. THEY ARE NOT FOR FANS OF HARRY POTTER, NEITHER WILL THEY SCREAM WHEN YOU PULL THEM, NOR MAKE YOU FLY IF YOU RUB THEM ON YOUR BROOMSTICK!
The young plants we offer have been grown by us from seed collected by August Wu and Bjørnar Olsen in China. An extremely rare species in cultivation that is native to open slopes and scrub in the Himalayas and south-western China. Forms rosettes of obovate leaves and clusters of reddish black to yellow, nodding, flowers on pedicels above young leaves in late spring to summer, followed by pale green to yellow fruits in autumn. Moisture retentive, well-drained soil in sun to light shade. Height 30 cm.
