Aspidistra sichuanensis ‘Ginga’ Speckled Cast Iron Plant SOLD OUT
Aspidistra sichuanensis ‘Ginga’ is native to China and has for many years been mis-sold as Aspidistra ‘Milky Way’. It produces dramatic clumps of short, lanceolate foliage via creeping rhizomes and alien-like, purple flowers at the base of the leaves. The leaves are evergreen and speckled with small, creamy white dots. Height 50 cm. Plant out in the garden in a dark spot or grow as a potted specimen. Part to full shade, in a sheltered position in humus rich, well-drained soil. Hardy to -10 C when planted in the ground (protect the leaves from frost if you do not want them damaged).
